Levitra is a medicine that contains the active ingredient vardenafil. It comes in the form of film-coated tablets (5, 10, and 20 mg). The orodispersible tablets are tablets that dissolve in the mouth. Vardenafil is the active substance in Levitra. It works by blocking an enzyme which sometimes causes a narrowing of the muscle walls and a contraction of the blood vessels at the entrance to the penis. By relaxing these muscle walls and dilating the blood vessels, the medication allows more blood to reach the penis during times of sexual arousal, enabling more consistent and lasting erections.
