Gliclazide

Gliclazide is a hypoglycemic antidiabetic oral drug from the group of sulfonylurea. Gliclazide tablets help to aid in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, where the body is unable to produce a significant amount of insulin, causing high blood sugar. Gliclazide is able to stimulate the secretion of insulin in pancreatic beta cells, reducing basal glycemia and glycated haemoglobin. Gliclazide pills can be used as monotherapy aids or associated with other oral antidiabetics, such as Metformin, Acarbos and other Glitazones.
