Metformin Oral Solution SF

Metformin is used in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to assist blood sugar management in combination with diet and exercise. Metformin is occasionally used in conjunction with insulin or other drugs, however it is not used to treat type 1 diabetes. Adults are often prescribed 500 mg or 850 mg of Metformin three times per day. The daily maximum dosage is 3000 mg, split into three doses. Your doctor may recommend a lesser dosage if you have impaired renal function.
